A local developer spent 2 entire workdays trying to center a <div> element. After a night of rest, starting he decided to start over from scratch with a new idea on day 3. That failed too, and he snapped and went on a rampage. Complete with knocking over chairs, yelling at people, even purchasing salmon from the grocery store next door to microwave in the office break room.
The team is understanding. CSS is difficult to work with, which is why so many other projects within the company use Tailwind CSS. This one doesn't due to project specific requirements. Mainly, the guy who set it up doesn't like Tailwind CSS.
The developer's manager spoke to us on the basis of anonymity. "It happens. I'll assign the bug to another developer. If they can't get it done in a day, we'll move it to another sprint."
