Local software developer Ryan Meyers has lost all respect from his co-workers after a team building exercise to celebrate the kick off of a 3-year long project. The team held a private event at a Karaoke bar for the entire team. Developers, Designers, QA Engineers, Product/Project Managers, and mid-management were all in attendance and saw him embarrass himself in a way that can't be unseen, or unheard.

The other team members in attendance all confirmed they have no respect for Meyers. A few of them were more than happy to provide a quote on the record.

"He sang 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love' by The Darkness. Who does that? You're supposed to choose something fun and simple, like 'Baby Got Back' or 'Oops!...I Did It Again'. Every time he tried to hit a high note he screamed louder and louder. I wish he just got drunk instead," said fellow developer Mark Sutton.

Amir Massey of the design team was a little more harsh in his remarks, saying,"Now when I see him, all I can think of is him screaming, 'Touching you, God, you're touching me!' at the top of his lungs. Which makes me gag a little because we're cousins. Now I need to make sure no one else knows we're related. I think I convinced grandma to rescind his invitation to the family reunion next month."

"He was going to lead the UI design language effort, but not anymore. I can't have someone like that explaining Style Guide Typography choices when their idea of fun and simple music is 80's glam rock released in 2003. You just can't trust a person like that", said manager of the development team, Melany Snyder.

Meyers expressed his disappointment in himself and wants to leave the job, but can't because he can't afford to pay back the signing bonus after moving across the country for the job and buying 3 cars. It'll be awkward, but eventually everyone will forget about it and move on. "It's just like high school again."
