Reports have come in about developer Wayne Dakawski, who prefers to run PowerShell in his Linux environments. Teammates are referring to him as a 'maniac' for doing this.
Fellow developer Claire Foss told us, "I don't get why he does it. Other than that one weird action, he's a perfectly normal guy. He comes in, does his work, and leaves. He sometimes complains about the aliens monitoring him, but we all think someone is out to get us."
An I.T. Administrator at the company says, "When he first asked if we could install PowerShell on the Dev servers, I thought he was joking. I figured this was another one of his classic pranks. One time he stole every phone from the Customer Service department, piled them up, and lit them on fire. Haha, what a jokester. Anyway, the PowerShell thing is weird, but otherwise he's a great guy."
Wayne's manager wanted to chime in and say, "We all love working with Wayne. His output is top notch. He's always the first to complete a PR review. Things can get a little heated, like last week when he wrote in a PR review, 'If you don't add an early return to that method I will f***ing kill you!' But, you know, that's normal for code reviews. I know it's bad to call someone a 'maniac', but I can't think of any other way to describe someone who runs PowerShell on Linux."
Wayne wanted to clear the air and told us he doesn't, "...get what the big deal is. PowerShell has been cross-platform for years. It works as well on Linux as it does on Windows and my Mac. And if you say otherwise I'll take a sledgehammer to your car!"
Everyone says he should be using a native Linux command language. However every time we asked which one, 'bash' or 'sh', arguments broke out. The only consensus is that he should most certainly NOT be using PowerShell.
