Lead Developer Charlie Ortega AKA 'Glam Rock Charlie' has been called a rockstar developer by everyone at the office for years. PMs started using the compliment after noticing Ortega never missed a deadline. QA affectionately uses the term because Ortega knocks out bug fixes the very same day they're reported. And other developers at the company refer to her as the local rockstar for always being available to get them unstuck on work. But the compliments seem to have inflated Ortega's ego. So much, that arriving to work hungover at 1 PM is just the beginning.

The team first noticed Ortega's change after the Q2 release party. Ortega came in the next day, still drunk from the night before, and fell asleep in the office after daily standup. With no repercussions, Ortega fell more and more into the rockstar mindset. Eventually coming into the office later each day, smashing keyboards for entertainment value, and consuming illegal drugs in the CEOs office. And yet, Ortega continues to be the top developer at the company.

The biggest hassle to the company were the demands made in a new rider. Demand one was to get a rider. The other demands grew more ornate as time went on. Adding Fritos in the break room was a great start the team enjoyed. Requesting a bowl filled with ice, Mountain Dew, and Bawls in the break room was okay at first, but the contract stipulated the ice cubes can never be more than 69% melted. Keeping the ice at acceptable levels required hiring a dedicated person to fill that role in the break room. And renaming the break room to 'green room' was easy, until the staff couldn't use the room while it was being painted green. And repainted to another shade of green. And repainted to yet another shade of green. Ortega still has not decided which shade of green to keep.

The team agrees Ortega's vision of herself has grown into a real problem, but not enough of a problem that they need to deal with it. Ortega is still more efficient than the rest of the team combined. Including the team members who delegate all of their work to A.I. agents and leave work early.
