"A.I. isn't the future, it's now!" self-titled Thought Leader Jim Tom Thomas claimed in a post last week. It has since accumulated 12 views, which is not the least amount of views that statement has received, but many other thought leaders have already said that. Years ago. Thomas wants to know if you have any thoughts he hasn't thought of yet.
"I haven't run out of thoughts. I still have a lot. So many. Tons. I'm a leader after all. Just wondering if you have any. Some A.I. thoughts would be great, people love those. No I'm not going to tell people it's mine. Why would you even suggest that? Fine, I'll pay you. This is the marketplace of ideas right? I have $8 in my wallet. That's enough for a JavaScript thought."
While interviewing Thomas for this article, we mentioned thought leaders will be going extinct since A.I. can spew out the same nonsense. "Wow, that's a good one. I mean, I thought of it first. I just didn't say it out loud. Anyway, I have to go now." He then posted it to LinkedIn right in front of me and ran off. Since then, bots have copied the post as their own to Bluesky, Twitter, and Threads accounts.
