To Save A.I. Tokens, Developers Ask Users to Pretend Application Works as Desired

and pretend it's faster too

A stack a yellow coins. Looking pretty low. Enough for 20 minutes at an arcade I bet.

A team of developers have realized they have very few tokens left in their accounts, and will be rationing them until the monthly refresh, which is after the sprint ends. In the mean time, the team is only working on Priority 0 items for any and all software development tasks. Be it code changes, unit test creation, documentation updates, pushing releases, issue creation, status reports, and even sending memes in Slack. Like most companies, every single one of those tasks are handled by developer A.I. agents.

The sprint ends in a few days and the team plans to move the unfinished work over to the next sprint, like usual. But will wait to move those items until the start of the month when they have a full set of tokens. They considered doing it manually, but only Dave could remember how, and no one trusts Dave. Luckily there's no need to bring down the scope next sprint, since the tokens will refresh by then.

A little embarrassing, but they will have difficulties performing the sprint demo. The stakeholders are expecting to see a working demo they can have their A.I. agents test out. To meet in the middle, the dev team will ask the stakeholders to pretend the application works as desired. Assuming everyone plays pretend the same way, and doesn't side track everyone with a tea party, this version will be deployed to production that afternoon. Users will receive a popup asking them to also pretend the application works the correct way, with a link to stick-figure drawings the developers created.

The first item in the Sprint Retrospective meeting will be "Buy more tokens!!!". The second will be "No more decompiling N64 games", but that's surprisingly unrelated.
