A developer posted a story online that's too improbable to believe, but we checked, it's real! They stated that their beloved laptop is no more. It has compiled its last backend, linted its final webapp, panicked its last kernel. The developer explained it happened soon after placing a new sticker on the laptop, a weekly tradition. After stepping away, he heard a loud clunk sound. When he looked back to see what it was, the laptop was split in two, right down the center.
"This could only have been caused by one thing, there were too many stickers (pictures below)," he wrote in a social media post. We hired a forensic analyst to review the pictures. The final report was really long and we got bored after the second page. But the summary corroborated the developer's statements.
Every developer should take this as a warning. If the device's weight has quadrupled due to the amount of stickers, it's too many.
